Homage to Ramadan
As muslims, we are prescribed to fast this holy lunar month for His sake. But also as a means to increase ourselves in faith, get closer to Him who has created our sole being and to reap the rewards of such a blessed month. All in all this month has too many blessings to count, let alone waste.
As a muslim, faith is as it seems— such an imperative part of my life that everything else just follows suite. as a muslim Its hard to think outside the framework of whether this or that is pleasing to His majesty, beneficial, or pertinent to my faith? However, as prudent as we muslims seem to be—human evil and human inadequacy can come to tear our efforts asunder.
That being said, Ramadan comes to us at a time asking for no favors other than to turn back to Him in sincerity and focus. To not miss a second of its presence without having connected, repented and fasted for His sake.
Allah, the most merciful did not say, to fast all year or all day but instead asked us to fast only for 30 days, from sunrise to sundown (or till Maghrib adhan).
O believers! Fasting is prescribed for you—as it was for those before you—so perhaps you will become mindful ˹of Allah˺.
This month out of all 12 is the most blessed month of Allah for the sole reason that it was the period in which He, the almighty has sent down the Quran to all of mankind as a criterion and completion of the revelation. How truly lucky are we?
In His own holy words he has told us, people of the world..
The Cow (2:185)
Ramaḍân is the month in which the Quran was revealed as a guide for humanity with clear proofs of guidance and the decisive authority. So whoever is present this month, let them fast. But whoever is ill or on a journey, then ˹let them fast˺ an equal number of days ˹after Ramaḍân˺. Allah intends ease for you, not hardship, so that you may complete the prescribed period and proclaim the greatness of Allah for guiding you, and perhaps you will be grateful.
I personally enjoy ramadan because unlike any other time; a time of deep spiritual healing and reconnecting with your Lord of the worlds. It a time when any straying muslim gets pardoned from their wrongdoing by just one sincere utterance. A time when the devils are locked deep in the dungeons of hell and the gates of Paradise are unbounded; and if you listen close enough you might just hear its streams and rivers glide. His thrown closer to his servant than ever before.
It feels like this month truly holds an expansive potential to single handedly turn one’s life trajectory in any desired path possible. Just by one prayer, one dua, one Sajda and it all clicks like clockwork.
I pray that He, the most exalted and high; gracious and kind brings this holy month back for months and months to come. So that we may repent, turn back to him, and be pardoned from Hellfire.

Thank you,
Mirale
